King and Queen of Tonga attend Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II [1]

Tonga's  King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau'u left Tonga on Saturday May 5 to attend special events in London, to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

David Dunkley, the Private Secretary to the King, in a statement said that the King and Queen would attend events .for reigning Monarchs and members of royal families from around the world,

"Their Majesties will also attend the celebrations to be held in Apia, Samoa on 1st June, to mark the 50th Anniversary of Samoa's independence, before returning to Tonga on Monday 4th June," the statement said.
