PSC suspends the Chief Secretary and Secretary to Cabinet [1]

The Chief Secretary and the Secretary to Cabinet, Busby Kautoke has been suspended from his post by the Public Service Commission PSC, according to the new Acting Chief Secretary and Chief Secretary to Cabinet, Alfred Soakai.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office at noon today, stated that Busby had been suspended indefinitely, effective from 4.30 pm, Thursday 5 April 2012, while disciplinary procedures are being carried out. The Deputy Secretary, Alfred Soakai has been appointed by the Prime Minister, Lord Tu'ivakano to be the Acting Chief Secretary and the Chief Secretary to Cabinet.
