New library for Tailulu College [1]

Tailulu College in Nuku'alofa opened a new library on January 30, in a renovation project that cost over $830,000 pa'anga.
The co-educational high school owned by the Free Church of Tonga in Tongatapu, has refurbished its library with computers and new bookshelves.
The President of the Free Church of Tonga, Rev Semisi Fonua opened the library in a ceremony attended by the many of the church's lay preachers of the church, staff and guests.
Siale Pahulu, the Chairman of the Working Committee said that the renovation of the one-storey building was solely financed by ex-students, and the Free Church of Tonga's Education Department. A local company Kiwi Tonga Ltd. won the contract for the work that began in November 2010 and was completed in January 2012.
Siale said the renovation of the library with the new computer technology was required for developing education at the college.
Head Tutor Falanisese Mausia, said that the one-story building accommodates the library and three computer rooms on its ground floor. The renovated first floor holds staff rooms, a conference room and administration offices of the school.
Five computers in the library archives, are additional to the college's three computer rooms that offer 70 computers for classes.
In the future, he said that Tailulu College aimed to offer after school library access to students from other schools.
