Tongan Parliament opens on May 28 [1]

The 2009 Session of the Tonga Legislative Assembly will be officially opened by HM King George Tupou V on Thursday, May 28.

the Chief Clerk of the House Viliami Latu confirmed today that the opening ceremony will be held at the Parliament House in central Nuku'alofa, but the program has not been finalised

Traditionally, the opening ceremony will be marked by the marching of Tongatapu high school students through central Nuku'alofa and the Palace grounds.
