Tonga's Chief Justice Anthony David Ford has been appointed as an Employment Court Judge in New Zealand, the New Zealand Attorney-General Christopher Finlayson announced yesterday, April 1.

Mr Justice Ford is scheduled to be sworn in at Wellington on Friday September 3.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice Ford is still working in Tonga, and there has been no official announcement of when he is leaving Tonga or who will become Tonga's new Chief Justice.
