THE Tonga Legislative Assembly resumed session today after a three month long Christmas break since 18 December 2009.

The Chief Clerk of the House, Viliami Latu, said today, that the working agenda of the House for Day One included the submission of Bills that were related to "the normal operation of the country." There were also the first readings of Bills relating to the Political Reform.

The Chief Clerk said that debate on the Bills would start when the House resumes on Thursday, April 8.

Ashika Report not tabled

The Chief Clerk also confirmed that the Ashika Report was not on the agenda of the House today, "as it hasn't been tabled yet nor any other report."
