Two years prison for marijuana possession [1]

Kusitafu Pohahau (38), who is currently serving a two and a half year prison sentence for possession of marijuana was sentenced to a further two years imprisonment by Chief Justice Robin Webster at the Nuku‘alofa Supreme Court, this morning, March 10.
Kusitafu will serve his new sentence concurrently.
Chief Justice Robin Webster told the accused that his two-year prison sentence was backdated to be effective from January 28, the day he was found guilty in court. But he would suspend the last six months of his sentence on the condition that he attended the Ironman Ministry to help him change his lifestyle.
On January 28 Pohahau was found guilty of possessing six plastic bags and 21 aluminium foils of marijuana in 2002.
The counsel for the Crown was Lu...isa Fukofuka and counsel for the accused was Mele Mangisi.
