Where is common sense? [1]

Editor,
THE "systemic failure" of government is now complete: apparently, now even Parliament is guilty of failure to follow established procedure.
The validity . . . or perhaps even the occurance . . . of elections in November is now in doubt. Why? Because it appears that Parliament . . . in a fit of misguided euphoria . . . has not adhered to it's own rules of order. This was precipitated by an endorsement by Cabinet of a less-than-completely-democratic "Option 2", as defined by the Constituency Boundaries Commission Report.
Not only are the November elections now in jeopardy, but the competence, at ANY level of government, is now in question.
Where is the much-vaunted "rule of law"? Where, even, is common sense? This whole parliamentary affair sounds suspiciously like the failures which preceded the M.V Ashika tragedy. That is, "We want this to happen so badly that we are willing to overlook . . ." You fill in the blank.
Is there no end to the political nonsense, and the failure to adhere to the law?
Sincerely,
P.A. Langi
