Eyes on Tonga, August 2 at World Expo [1]

THE eyes of the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China will focus on Tonga for its National Day Celebration on August 2, at the Pacific Pavilion.
This day provides Tonga with a chance to showcase to the world what Tonga has to offer in terms of its culture, sites, people, dancing and products on display.
The Ministry of Tourism confirmed that a special delegation of about 40 led by a member of the Royal Family would depart Tonga on July 29 for the Tonga National Day.
Included is a 20-member Tongan Cultural Dancing Group as well as other personnel from the Ministry of Tourism and a media representative Monalisa Palu.
The program for Tonga's National Day Celebration would see the Tongan flag raised up at the Expo Centre. This would be followed by speeches to be delivered by the Host Country and from the Tongan Head of Delegation.
Tonga's Cultural Dancing Group would also have at least an hour of performance at the Pacific Stage outside the Pacific Pavilion for the Expo audience.
Items on display at the expo are hand made handicrafts, sea cucumber, nonu juice, and kava, squash and DVDs.
