Miss Galaxy Float Parade starts colourful event [1]

TONGA'S Miss Galaxy Queen Pageant 2010 started with colourful float parade in Nuku'alofa on Saturday, July 3.

The parade with about 10 floats, for contestants and supporters began from the Teufaiva Stadium, and along Taufa'ahau Road through downtown Nuku'alofa, ending at the Akoteu school grounds, attracting many spectators.

The float parade featured eight queens from Tonga and only one overseas participant from San Fransisco.

The three night of judging events begins this week on July 7-9 including nine judging categorie, expected to showcase fantastic costumes, outrageous creativity and designs and hilarious talents.

The guest of honour at the pageant is Hon Frederica Tuita, at the annual event organised by Tongas Leiti's Association.
