Tonga is preparing to host the Miss South Pacific Pageant at the end of October 2005.

The Heilala Organizing Committee working with the Tonga Visitors Bureau has formed a Miss South Pacific Pageant Host Committee to organize the regional contest.

Eight to ten contestants are expected to arrive in Tonga by Saturday 22nd October for the orientation program to compete in Tonga for the title of Miss South Pacific 2005.

The Float Parade will be held at noon on 26 October, the Pre-Pageant Presentation and Interview will be held Thursday 27 October, and the main attraction, "The Miss South Pacific Pageant" on Friday evening 28 October. The Traditional Island Creation, Talent, Sarong Swimwear and Stage Interview will all be held that night and the crowning of the Miss South Pacific 2005/06 as well.
