Men charged with planting marijuana [1]

TWO men have been separately charged for the cultivation and possession of cannabis or marijuana plants at their homes in Lavengatonga and Vaini in Tongatapu.
Deputy Police Commander Taniela Faletau said on July 21, that a 35-year-old man had been charged with cultivating and possession of seven cannabis plants ranging from 4 - 11 inches at his home.
Three days later a 23-year-old male was also charged with similar offences after four cannabis plants were found at his home in Vaini. The height of the marijuana plants ranged from 4 - 10 inches.
Both men were kept in police custody pending bail and were to appear at the Nuku'alofa Magistrate's Court in August.
