Tonga Side School Gala raises $16,000 [1]

Tonga Side School Gala Day.

STUDENTS of the Government's Tonga Side School in Nuku'alofa today raised about $16,000 pa'anga during a colourful Gala Day held at the school compound.

It was a beautiful sunny day for the dancing performances by students from Class 1 to Form 2 levels. Hundreds of parents gathered at the school in support of their children's performances by putting on money onto the dancers.

The Tonga Side School Nuku'alofa office confirmed to Matangi Tonga Online, that at the end of the event this afternoon, they raised about $16,000 pa'anga for the school.

Tonga Side School begins its 2010 Christmas school holidays on December 3.
