THE home of a member of parliament on Tongatapu was raided by police yesterday, December 2.

The Nuku'alofa Magistrate's Court confirmed today that the court issued a search warrant to the police yesterday morning, to search the home of a member of parliament.

A search of the man's home was conducted.

A police prosecutor confirmed today that the police had not laid any charges as of this morning, but an investigation was continuing.

Police Commander Chris Kelley said he did not want to release any information at this stage and he intended to make a statement later today. "The name of the person will not be released," he said.
