TONGA'S official Foreign Reserves held by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga in February was $158.8 million, the equivalent of 6.5 months of imports of goods.

Tonga's February Foreign Reserve figure was a decline by $6.4 millions from the previous month's figure of $165.2 million, but it was $5.3 million more than the $153.5 million Reserve held by the bank in February 2010.

The decline in the country's Foreign Reserve, according to the National Reserve Bank of Tonga, was due mainly "to private capital outflow and payments for imports.
