Liahona High School leads first day Tonga Inter College Sports [1]

LIAHONA High School was leading the medal tally with six gold medals at the end of the first day of Tonga's 88th Inter College Athletics Competition on April 19.

Tonga High School followed in second place with four gold medals and 'Apifo'ou College came in third with four gold medals.

On April 20, day two of the competition events included the 100m and 100m hurdles for boys and girls, 400m final, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay, as well as field events.

More medals were won but results would be tallied on April 21, the final day of the three-day competition. Events scheduled are finals for field and track events, including the 100m, 200m and 3000m run.

Hundreds of athletes are competing and cheered on by a crowd filling the grandstand at the Teufaiva Outdoor stadium.
