Queen Mother presents nursing diplomas [1]

TWENTY-seven nursing students graduated from the Queen Salote Nursing School receiving their Diploma in Nursing, from the Queen Mother Halaevalu Mata'aho, on Friday April 29.

The graduates, including seven men, had completed a three years training course at the nursing school at Vaiola Hospital.

Tilema Cama, the Principal, said that the 27 new nurses are now staff members of the Ministry of Health.

The Minister of Health Hon 'Uliti Uata together with parents, friends and families attended the occasion.

It is understood that there are currently over 200 nurses employed in Tonga.
