Counterfeit $2,000 seized in Vava'u [1]

POLICE seized 20 counterfeit $100 notes in Neiafu, Vava'u on May 3.

The Assistant Police Commander, 'Unga Fa'aoa said yesterday that was not the first time that counterfeit Pa'anga notes had been found in circulation in Tonga.

The matter is under intense police investigation but no one had been arrested or charged relating to the counterfeit notes, he said.
