Roslynn Mahe, a contender in Avon's Online Global Talent Search [1]

Roslynn Mahe (37) a singer who has Tongan- Samoan heritage, has been selected as one of the 136 Round One contenders from over 6,000 contenders, in Avon's first ever Online Global Talent Search, on March 8.

Born and raised in New Zealand to a Samoan mother and Tongan father, the talented songstress who lives in London has posted a performance video on AvonVoices.com for online voting in Round One, that is currently open from April 22 to May 20.

No more than 100 Round Two contenders will be determined by online public voting and Avon Voices judges. The successful names of those who makes it through to round two would be announced on May 30.

Roslynn, who comes from a musical family, started singing at the age of four at church and performed on New Zealand Television shows such as Stars on Sunday and the Peter Morgan Special at the age of seven.

The eldest of six children, she and her siblings, parents and uncles started a family band in New Zealand. She later moved to Australia where she was a finalist in Australia's Channel Nine's Starstruck Talent Show and became a finalist in Australia's X-Factor in 2005.

Album

The Avon Voices is searching for two extraordinary female singers to record a professionally produced album. Finalists will perform on November 2, in front of a live audience at the Avon Foundation Gala in New York City.

Finalists will be selected by a combination of online public voting and a judging panel consisting of music legendaries such as six-time Grammy award winner Fergie, Natasha Bedingfield and legendary songwriter Diane Warren.

The program was launched in December 2010 in which Avon Voices invited women from around the world to join in celebration of the company's 125th anniversary.
