A 19-year-old girl has pleaded guilty to four counts of indecently assaulting a boy aged 11, committed in February this year at Ha'asini, in Tongatapu.

The accused Meleane Tongia, living at Ha'asini, appeared before Justice Robert Shuster at the Supreme Court for her arraignment on Friday, May 27.

Tongia pleaded guilty to all four counts of indecent assault and will be sentenced by Justice Shuster on July 21. In the meantime, she was ordered by the court to go and see the Probation Officer for a probation report for sentencing.

It is understood that the victim is currently a high school student in Tongatapu.
