Korean Tae Kwan Do award for Tongan [1]

A Tongan sportsman Pita Taufatofua (27) received an honorary award in South Korea last week during the visit to the country by Tonga's Prime Minister.

Pia received an honorary Black Belt presented by Mr Choue, the head of the World Tae Kwan Do Association, for his contribution to the sport of Tae kwan do. Pita now has about five black belts in tae kwan do and hapkido. He is currently in South Korea for three months training in tae kwon do in an effort to qualify for the Olympics to represent Tonga.

Pita is the second son of Pita and Rose Taufatofua.

Tonga's Prime Minister Lord Tu'ivakano was in Korea last week and attended the presentation.
