Rev Dr 'Ahio re-elected as FWC President [1]

REV Dr 'Ahio was re-elected on June 22 as the President of the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga during the 88th Free Wesleyan Church Annual Conference at the Centennial Church, Saione.

Over 400 members of the FWC Conference re-elected Rev Dr 'Ahio with 316 votes over Rev Tevita Havea with 26 votes. Rev Dr 'Ahio was elected for the first time as President in 2009.

Rev Tevita Havea was re-elected as FWC Secretary with 301 votes, for his third term as the FWC Secretary. Rev Siotame Havea received 23 votes.

The conference was to be officially opened on June 23 by the Queen Mother Halaevalu Mata'aho. The conference ends in Nuku'alofa on June 29.
