First contestant enters Miss Heilala Pageant 2011 [1]

'Elisapeta 'Akau'ola (18) as Miss Ministry of Tourism is the first entrant in the 2011 Miss Heilala Pageant
About 10 contestants are expected to join in the annual event to be held during the Heilala Festival from July 20 to August 1 under a theme "Our People, Our Future".
'Elisapeta, a local contestant from Lapaha in Tongatapu, has returned to Tonga after graduating with her High School Diploma from the Hawaii Preparatory Academy last month. She plans to continue her study in Civil Engineering at the James Madison University in Virginia, USA, in August.
Three of 'Elisapeta's aunts were former Miss Heilala contestants and she said that this inspired her to join the pageant.
Registration for the 2010 Miss Heilala Pageant will be closed on July 15, before the pageant starts on July 20 with the Miss Heilala Contestants Orientation at the Janfull International Dateline Hotel.
On July 25 the contestants have the Miss Heilala Pre Pageant Interview, the first judging event held at Davina House. The second judging event is the Miss Heilala Tau'olunga competition on July 26 at the Pangai Field seaside area.
The final night of judging will be held on July 28 with a South Pacific Evening Wear featuring the Miss Heilala Sarong, Talent and the Island Creation at Pangai.
The new Miss Heilala 2011-12 will be crowned in an Island Formal Night on July 29 at the Fa'onelua Convention Centre. The pageant ends with a float parade on August 1.
The reigning Miss Mafi Tu'inukuafe, will be taking part in the pageant.
