Jonah Lomu, the Rugby Legend, arrives in Tonga tomorrow for two days Tuesday and Wednesday June 13-14, as part of a delegation traveling with the New Zealand Minister for Foreign Affairs, Murray McCully on his 2011 Pacific Mission annual tour of the Pacific, this year to Tonga, Samoa, Cook Islands and Niue.

The tour provides an opportunity for New Zealand representatives to meet their Pacific counterparts on a range of issues such as trade, investment, development assistance, cultural and sporting ties.

This year's delegation includes MPs, business people, NGOs, officials, Rugby stars, and media people.

The New Zealand Ministry for Foreign Affairs in a statement said that the 2011 Mission "carries greater significance with New Zealand hosting the 40th Anniversary of the Pacific Islands Forum in Auckland in September.

"The government wants to ensure the Forum delivers meaningful outcomes for the people of the region, and we will use this trip to hear first hand the priorities for Pacific nations," said Mr McCully.

The delegation arrives in Tonga after mid-day Tuesday, and Jonah Lomu is schedule to signing autographs at the ANZ Nuku'alofa Branch at 3.30 pm.

On Wednesday July 13 at 9.00 am Jonah Lomu and the Rugby NZ2011 CEO will hold a rugby clinic at Pangai Lahi.

While in Tonga Mr McCully and Tonga's Acting Prime Minister will sign a Joint Commitment for Development on July 13 before leaving Tonga for Samoa at 2.30 pm Wednesday afternoon.
