A talent show with contemporary island creations and colourful sarong swimwear, modeled by the five Miss Heilala contestants, was held on Thursday evening, their last appearance before tonight's Miss Heilala 2011-12 crowning.

Last night, July 28, contestants were judged in the final three categories: the contemporary island creation, sarong swimwear and talent competition.

The event attracted many spectators to the Heilala tent in central Nuku'alofa.

The talent show is a favorite with the crowd, who saw Miss Lady Maria Tonga Australia Victoria Langafisi behind the drums; Miss Friendly Islands USA Pi'ilani Afu playing the piano; while Miss Tonga Visitors Bureau 'Elisapeta 'Akau'ola sang and played the ukulele. Miss National Tongan American Society of Utah Lavinia belly-danced for her talent.

The winners in all judging categories held throughout this week will be announced at the crowning at the Janfull International Dateline hotel tonight, July 29.

The Heilala Festival 2011 concludes on Monday, August 1 with a float parade.
