Parliament adjourns again this week [1]

TONGA'S Legislative Assembly is adjourned again this week until further notice as directed by the Acting Speaker of Parliament Lord Tu'i'afitu.
A spokesperson at the Parliament's office in Nuku'alofa said on August 5, that the House would remain in recess this week until further notice, to allow parliamentarians to continue deliberating on various Bills and regulations resubmitted for consideration by various Standing Committees.
The parliamentary Standing Committees include Legislation, Finance and Public Accounts, Social, Foreign, Defence and Trade Committees.
The Legislative Assembly was also adjourned for the whole of last week while members worked on regulations and bills handed down from Parliament for consideration by the Standing Committees.
The last sitting of the House was on Thursday, July 28.
