TONGA'S Legislative Assembly resumed sitting today, September 19 after three weeks of adjournment, which allowed Standing Committees to work on matters referred for them, before they are resubmitted for the House to consider.

Pending matters included tasks such as a public consultation to be conducted by the Law Standing Committee in Vava'u on the Royal Neiafu Township Ordinance 2010.

On August 15 the Legislative Assembly approved the Law Standing Committee to conduct public consultation in Vava'u on the ordinance around October.

The Parliament's Office in Nuku'alofa said today, that the House resumed today and sat for the whole day.
