Two men charged with cultivating cannabis in 'Eua [1]

TWO men have been arrested and charged over the possession and cultivation of more than 200 cannabis plants discovered at a remote location known as Lokupo in 'Eua.
Taniela Faletau said today that the two men who lived in 'Eua were a 40 year old from Houmakelikao in Tongatapu and a 27 year old who originated from Faleloa in Ha'apai and Kolofo'ou in Tongatapu.
He said the 'Eua Police first arrested the two suspects with up to 30 cannabis plants at Lokupo on Sunday, September 25. Further police investigation on Monday, September 26 at the same location seized up to 200 more cannabis plants.
The two men are being remanded at the police station in 'Eua.
Bank robbery
Meanwhile, on September 23, the Magistrate's Court in Nuku'alofa denied bail for the six men who are charged with the robbery using firearms at the Westpac Bank of Tonga Ma'ufanga Branch on September 5.
All suspects were ordered to be further remanded and pending another appearance at the lower court on September 29.
