Bazaar Day for FWC schools in Nuku'alofa [1]

The Free Wesleyan Church schools in Tongatapu held a combined Bazaar Day in Nuku'alofa on September 28 and attracted a crowd of shoppers eager to buy quality handicrafts and food made by the students.
The annual event at the Akoteu grounds beside the Centenary Church Saione is an opportunity for participating schools to raise funds for their schools, which this year included Tupou College, Tupou High School, Sia'atoutai Theological College, Maamaloa and Tapunisiliva in Tongatapu.
Queen Salote College held its own bazaar day in Nuku'alofa, on September 1.
Traditional clothing items such as ta'ovala, kiekie, and kafa were much sought after by shoppers, along with Tongan brooms and homemade food, cakes and plants. Entertainment was provided by the Tupou College Brass Band.
