Vaitai Havea (16) is the 2011 dux of the Saineha High School, Vava'u, announced during the school's annual prize-giving ceremony on October 30.

Vaitai is an outstanding all-rounder. She captained the school's netball team that won the shield for the Intermediate A category; and was also the president of the student's association for 2011.

Vaitai will continue with Form 7 studies at Saineha High School next year, before she pursues her further studies overseas. Vaitai wants to be an economist.

Vaitai is the third of three Havea sisters to be duces of high schools in Vava'u. Her elder sister Tupou Havea was the 2002 dux of Saineha High School; and Pelenaise Fehoko Havea was the 2009 dux of Vava'u High School.

Vaitai is the daughter of Tukia 'I Vava'u Havea and Linda Havea from Neiafu, Vava'u and Faleloa, Ha'apai.
