DIGICEL Tonga opened a new state of the art flagship store on Taufa'ahau Road on November 22, worth an investment totaling over USD$200,000, making the store the first of its kind in Tonga streamlining all its customer access and products in one place from mobiles, internet and television.

Digicel Tonga's Commercial Director Jack Bourke said on November 28, that Digicel had given the retail experience in Tonga a facelift. There are separate counters for their products, including Digicel Mobile Money, Digicel pre-paid and post paid bill payments for DigiTV and DigiNet - Internet products.

In addition the store offers over 20 live handsets that customers can try at the store, including surfing the web, listening to music on live demonstrator models that brings interaction with the device out of the box into the customer's hands.

"Digicel's vision is to bring international style and flair to their customer interaction and experience is delivered in this state of the art retail experience, and through our range of Corporate Business," he said.

The new store is located at the former Look Sharp Tonga shop across from the Fund Management Building in the CBD.

Jack said they contracted award winning designers and project managers HiTech from New Zealand, who are experts in retail concepts and fit-outs, and they worked with local contractors to construct the store in just over 10 days.
