Foreign Reserve equivalent to 8.2 months of imports [1]

The National Reserve Bank of Tonga on 29 December 2011 reported that the country's official Foreign Reserves for November 2011 fell by $1 million from $213.9 million in October to $212.9 million.

However, the November 2011 Foreign Reserves of $212.9 million was $44.9 million more than the Reserve that was held by the bank in November 2010.

The fall in the Reserve in November 2011 was attributed to be mainly due to payment for imports.

The November 2011 Foreign Reserve of $212.9 million is equivalent to 8.2 months of imports of goods.
