Dalgety was under 24-hour House Arrest [1]

A written Magistrate's Court order for the Arrest of Lord Dalgety on Friday, February 26 was made available by the Nuku'alofa Police Magistrate this afternoon, and it stated that Lord Dalgety was to be remanded in custody for only 24 hours.
It was considered that his health was at risk if remanded in the prison so Magistrate 'Etika ordered that the suspect, Lord Dalgety, be placed under house arrest from 7:15pm on February 26 to 7:15pm on February 27 at his residence at the village of Ha'ateiho to allow the police to complete their investigations with him.
On Friday Deputy Police Commander Taniela Faletau confirmed that Lord Dalgety was released on Friday evening but on the condition that he remained under house arrest until a bail hearing set for Wednesday, March 3 at the Magistrate's Court, Fasi mo e Afi.
However, the court order released today stated that the house arrest was in force for only 24 hours. The accused during the house arrest was prohibited from communicating with anyone except his counsel and immediate family in the presence of the police.
The Friday 26 February Court Order was to be reviewed in chambers on Monday March 1 at 9.00am.
On Monday Magistrate 'Etika ordered that the defendant, "Ramsay R. Dalgety" was to appear at the Fasi Criminal Court, on March 3 and that his passport and all travel documents surrendered by the defendant to the custody of the police at the time of his arrest were to be returned to him.
When the defendant, appeared at the Fasi Criminal Court this morning March 3, it was ordered for the defendant's case to be adjourned to Monday March 22 for committal proceedings on papers and for the defendant to be released on bail of $2,600. It was also ordered that his passport and all traveling documents were to be surrendered into the custody of the court.
