Pelenaise Fehoko Havea (18), the Dux of Vava'u High School for 2009 is an all-around student who has been outstanding both in the classroom and in sports.

Pelenaise topped the Vava'u High School Form 7 in English and in Information Technology. In sports, she was a gold medalist in the 100 meters Relay, 100 meters hurdle and in Triple Jump. Pelenaise was also the captain of the school's Senior A Netball team, which won the Vava'u inter-schools 2009 Netball tournament.

Pelenaise is from Talau, and the daughter of Tukia 'I Vava'u Havea and Linda Havea 'o Neiafu.

The Japanese Ambassador to Tonga HE Yasuo Takase was the guest of honour at the Vava'u High School's end of the year prizegiving ceremony.
