Mother of two, Tita Veamatahau from Ma'ufanga, was delighted yesterday when she was named as one of five lucky winners in the Western Union Christmas promotion.

Robina Nakao, CEO of Fund Management Ltd. gave out a total of $1,000 pa'anga in cash to five winners of the Western Union Scratch and Win Cash Draw.

Tita said that she received money weekly from her elder sister who always sent money to her two children whom she had raised since they were babies, and she thanked Western Union for their contribution. In a heartfelt speech she said the money will be used to buy Christmas presents for her children and she was very happy and fortunate to use Western Union in receiving money.

Tita and the four others Tupou Tu'akalau from Tatakamotonga, Hala Po'uliva'ati from Ha'asini, Pauline Tonga from Houmakelikao and 'Akanesi Katoa from Leimatu'a , Vava'u, received $200 each.

Tupou said that this was unexpected and she was very surprised that she was one of the winners.

Lusitania Nakao, manager of the Western Union Tonga, said the promotion from October 12 to November 31, offered other prizes including a mobile phone, portable DVD player, mp3, mp4 players, and other prizes.

"This is to encourage and give appreciation to those who rely on the company to transfer and receive money through Western Union," she said.

Of the five winners, four live in Tongatapu, and one in Vava'u - who also received her $200 yesterday.
