Santa Claus in full suit delighted over 30 young children at the Little Italy Hotel and Restaurant on Friday, December 11, giving out presents with a friendly Ho Ho Ho!
Organised by Little Italy owners Angelo Crapanzano and his wife Meleseini, the special treat was for their children Sara and Angelo Jr and their classmates from the Ocean of Light Kindergarten and pre-school levels, as well as children of guests and neighbours.
The restaurant was decorated with a beautiful Christmas tree, decorations and lights and Santa's chair, a captivatinig sight for the children who were lining up to sit on his lap and whisper to him their wish lists for Christmas.
Meleseini this year they decided to host a special treat for children because they have always hosted Christmas parties and cocktails for adults, with nothing much for the children.
"So we thought of having a Christmas party with Santa for the children and because it was such a joyous event and a success it will become a fixed event on our calendar next year!" she said.
Mr Justice Warwick Andrew traded his seat as Chairman of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the sinking of the Ashika to take centre stage on Santa's big red throne, dressed in a Santa suit flown in from the United States for the occasion.
