Loloahi Tapui of Leimatu'a, Vavau, the former housekeeper for British Attorney General Baroness Scotland, appeared in court in London and pleaded not guilty to fraud and possessing a fake passport on December 7.

Loloahi (27) who was fired by Baroness Scotland after she was discovered to be an illegal migrant, appeared at the City of Westminster Magistrate's Court

The UK Mirror newspaper reported her spokesman Public Relations entrepreneur Max Clifford said that she has opted for a trial by jury.

In November Loloahi was charged with three immigration offences of fraud, possessing a false passport and overstaying her UK visa while her husband Alexander Zivancevic was cautioned for assisting unlawful immigration, but was not charged.

The maximum sentence for fraud is 10 years jail and a maximum of two years for holding a false passport with a 5,000p ounds fine and six months for overstaying a visa.

She is scheduled to appear at the Southwark Crown Court on 13 January, 2010 and has opted to be tried by jury.

Tongan national

Loloahi is reported to have arrived in London in 2003 as a tourist and because of her Tongan nationality she could stay in the UK without a visa for no longer than six months.

At the end of the six months period she applied for a student visa, and she was given a one-year visa and a National Insurance number. She attempted twice in 2004 and 2005 to renew her student visa but she was turned down.
