Tonga High School dux excels in languages [1]

Crystaline Faye Tiana Seluini (17) from Leimatu'a, Vava'u and Sopu, Tongatapu is the 2009 Dux for Tonga High School, which held its graduation ceremony at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall, on December 1.
A Form Seven student, Crystaline excelled in languages, topping the French language (F7) and doing well with the Japanese language. She has been studying French and Japanese since Form 3.
At the prizegiving Crystaline made a speech first in French, then in Japanese and thanked her family, teachers and her fellow students in English.
Crystaline will continue with her studies at the University of the South Pacific Tonga Campus in 2010.
HRH Princess Pilolevu Tuita, was the guest of honour and presented some of the top prizes, which included two special prizes from HM King George Tupou V for Form 6 students: $2,000 each for the top student in Accounting, Siufanga Tava, and for the top student in French, 'Aulola 'Ake.
A special prize, the $1,000 Tuituivao Sakura Award, for the top student in the Japanese Language, was awarded to a Korean student Daeyong Yang.
The combined graduation ceremonies of Tonga High School and Tonga College concluded the 2009 school year for all Tongatapu High Schools.
