RECOGNISING the importance of breast cancer awareness, women at a Pink Fundraising Lunch on 14 October raised $4,100 pa'anga for the Tonga Breast Cancer Society.

TBCS President Polotu Fakafanua-Paunga said today, she was very happy with the outcome of the fundraising and the money raised will be utilised to hold more awareness programs in the community in addition to existing radio and television programs.

"We are planning to hold our programs throughout the year and not just in October, the breast cancer awareness month," said Polotu. She said that their annual fundraising event is their source of revenue to buy t-shirts, ribbons, print brochures and to hold programs.
