The Constitutional and Electoral Commission received 70 submissions [1]

THE Constitutional and Electoral Commission's invitation for further written submissions closed on Monday, 6th July.

The Commission's invitation for this series of written submissions was centred on the publication and dissemination of its Interim Report on the 5th of June and the Commission acknowledges the assistance of the different offices and individuals who helped in its distribution.

70 submissions were received from both individuals and groups representing a wide and varied range of public and personal interests.

The Commission wishes to express its gratitude to everyone who sent in submissions on its Interim Report and acknowledges the thought and effort which they demonstrated.
These submissions are being considered by the Commission in preparation for its next meeting in late July.

Submissions made to the Commission will be treated in-confidence until the publication of the Commission...’s Final Report and Recommendations on the 5th of November, 2009. Secretariat of the Constitutional and Electoral Commission, 16/07/09.
