A 19-year-old first time local contestant from Ma'ufanga known as "Miss Thumbelina" outshone five other contestants to win the 2009-10 Miss Galaxy Queen Crown in Friday night's final, on July 10.

Crowned by Hon Frederica Tuita, the new Galaxy Queen whose real name is Christopher Halafihi, took home a prize of $1,000 cash and one return ticket to Tonga-Los Angeles.

In second place was Miss Joella Creation followed in third place by Miss Maile Creation.

The annual pageant featuring creative and extraordinary outfits was concluded with the "Galaxy Wear", "Formal Wear" and a final talent event.

The three-day pageant opened the 2009 Miss Heilala Festival on July 8 at the Queen Salote Memorial Halls.
