Less than a month after being appointed as Tonga's new Minister of Information and Communication, Hon 'Eseta Fusitu'a was made the Acting Minister of Justice, effective on June 1.

This was confirmed by a Ministry of Information statement on June 2, following the resignation of former Minister of Justice and Attorney General, 'Alisi Taumoepeau, which became effective on June 1.

'Eseta who retired from the Tonga Civil Service in 2008 was recalled to Government duty on April 30 with her appointment as the Minister of Information and Communication. Prior to her retirement she was the Chief Secretary and Secretary to Cabinet, a position she had held since 2001.
