The newly established, Manufacturers Association of Tonga (MAT) Inc. elected its Executive Committee on Tuesday, February 17.

The president is Va'inga Palu of Quality Fishing; Vice president is Hugh Clark of Royal Beer; Treasurer is 'Una Vete of Vete Holdings, and the secretary is Taufa 'Ahome'e of Tonga Pure Water.

The five executive members are Dianne Warner (Skip's Custom Joinery), Edgar Cocker (Cocker Enterprises Limited), Vili Malupo (Rainbow Bakery), Vaiangina Tafea (Jones Industries) and Lucy Fa'anunu ('Ene'io Botanical Gardens).

The pioneer Executive Committee, according to a MAT's press statement has been tasked with a working agenda, which include the promotion of Tongan export, and the protection of the interests of Tongan industries.
