Digicel supports CBA Conference in Tonga [1]

Digicel today announced its sponsorship of the Internet Café at the Commonwealth Broadcasting Conference (CBA), taking place in Tonga next week.
The conference will take place from February 9-13 at the Convention Centre, in Nuku‘alofa with around 100 delegates traveling from all over the Pacific, New Zealand and Australia. The week long program begins with a Two Day Pacific Climate Change Workshop in association with UNESCO. This is then followed by the main conference which will be officially opened by the Acting Prime Minister, Hon. Dr Viliami Tangi on February 11, at the International Dateline Hotel.
The three day conference looks at various topics ranging from "The Key Role of Guidelines for Political Reporting and Election Coverage" to "Planning for the Digital Age". The speakers come from all aspects of major public broadcasting in the Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.
Digicel Tonga CEO, Christian Fruean, said "Digicel is delighted to be involved with the annual CBA conference. Digicel is committed to providing the people of Tonga with more affordable communications, and is always looking at ways to better its service".
The CBA was founded in February 1945 at the Commonwealth Broadcasting Conference. It began with six members and is today an association of more than 100 broadcasting organizations in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Australasia, the Pacific, North and South America.

Digicel's partnership with the Tonga Rugby Football Union builds on Digicel's commitment to the people of Tonga.
