Probe into RTA operation [1]

A Royal Commission of Inquiry to probe into the operation of the Royal Tongan Airlines was established by the Tongan government in early November, and aims to present a report by December 14.
The two commissioners are the Minister of Police, Hon. Clive Edwards and a Chinese businessman, Fred Wang who is a business partner of Princess Pilolevu Tuita in Pacific Asia Global Holdings, Hong Kong.
The two commissioners are to be assisted by consultants, Wayne Madden, the former General Manager of Tonga Investments Ltd., and 'Alisi Taumoepeau, the Solicitor General. The secretary of the Commission is Linda Simiki Folaumoetu'i.
Clive said that the three main areas in the operation of RTA that they will look into were:
Business Viability, to determine the viability of the RTA operation.
Managerial Capability. looking into the competence and adequacy of the RTA's present management.
Sources of Finance, enquiring into the means of financing RTA's operation, and the prospect of attracting investment in the airline or a business partner for future operations.
Clive said that the commissioners were hoping to have their first meeting with the management of RTA on November 20, and have a report to government on December 14.
