Queen Salote and 'Api Fo'ou Colleges prize-givings name two outstanding dux [1]

Two outstanding young girls, Momota 'Atiola (17) and Malia Makitalena Mafi (16), became the dux of Queen Salote College and 'Api Fo'ou College respectively during the 2008 prize-giving ceremonies held this week.
Momota 'Atiola (17) of Hofoa, Vaini and Longolonga, who topped six subjects was announced the dux of the Free Wesleyan Church Queen Salote College for girls, and received her prize from the Queen Mother Halaevalu Mata'ato at the prize-giving ceremony on November 27.
"My future goal is to become a doctor and I thank the Lord for all that he has done for me," said Momota who topped Scripture, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, and Calculus.
'Api Foou
Malia Makitalena Mafi (16) became the dux of the Catholic Church College 'Api Fo'ou. The Form Six student from Fatumu also swiped six of her level's subjects during the prize-giving ceremony, held at the Sir Sofele Kakala Hall on November 28. It was an achievement that the ecstatic young student was thankful and joyful about.
This week saw the conclusion of the 2008 school year for the church owned high schools in Tongatapu.
The government high schools, Tonga High School and Tonga College, will hold their prize giving ceremony next week.
