The newly appointed General Manager of Digicel, Tonga Crystal Middleton-Lunn, has launched a huge marketing campaign, giving away large cash prizes and this month offering a NZD$60,000 vehicle as a prize a to win customers over to the growing cell phone network.

"At Digicel Tonga, we believe in giving back to our customers and this can be reflected in our various promotion programs in terms of our weekly cash draws ... and other competitions," she said on November 7.

Crystal took up her new position last month following the departure of Tanya Menzies who becomes the new CEO for Digicel Vanuatu.

She said the 'Drive Your Dream' launched in October is the newest promotion where customers are instantly counted in to a draw to win a new NZD$60,000 2008 Jeep Wrangler on 23 December, whenever they top up their phones.

The company in a recent cash promotion bonanza draw in October saw an overwhelmed winner walk away with $15,000 pa'anga.

Digicel through its DigiCare program provides support to various community activities in Tonga. The program has already donated TOP$10,000 for the Tonga Paralympics team and also supplied computers and free internet service to the Alonga and 'Ofa Tui mo e 'Amanaki Centres for the disabled.

Crystal joined Digicel Samoa as Chief Financial Officer in March 2007 and later in December she took on a combined CFO role for Digicel Samoa and Digicel Tonga before this new appointment.
