Tongan-Australian music icons Vika and Linda Bull have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to Australian music, earning induction into the prestigious ARIA Hall of Fame, in Sydney, Australia.

The sisters join an elite group of Australian music legends following a career of more than three decades, marked by chart success, critical acclaim and enduring influence on the nation's music landscape.

Their induction comes just days after the release of their ninth studio album, ‘Where Do You Come From?’, adding another milestone to a career that has consistently celebrated storytelling, culture and powerful vocal performances.

Vika and Linda first rose to prominence with their self-titled debut album in 1994, which reached the ARIA Top 10 and achieved platinum sales. Their popularity continued across the decades, culminating in the release of 'Akilotoa (Anthology 1993-2006), which reached No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2020.

Born to Tongan heritage and raised in Australia, the sisters have become widely respected figures in the Australian music industry, known for their soulful harmonies and versatility across genres.

Throughout their career, they have collaborated with some of Australia's most celebrated artists, including Paul Kelly, Kasey Chambers, Archie Roach, Renee Geyer and Mark Seymour.

Their achievements have been recognised through six ARIA Award nominations, honours from the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) Awards, and induction into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame.

In 2022, the sisters were awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for their service to the performing arts.

For Vika and Linda, the honour acknowledges not only their musical achievements but also their role in enriching Australia's cultural landscape while proudly representing their Tongan heritage.

Their latest album, ‘Where Do You Come From?’, continues their exploration of identity, family and belonging, themes that have remained central to their music throughout their celebrated career.
