NZ Prime Minister Christopher Luxon to visit Tonga in Pacific Mission [1]

New Zealand’s Prime Minister Rt Hon Christopher Luxon will visit Tonga next week, 17-18 March, in a Pacific Mission that will include a cross-party delegation of approximately 80 members.
High-level MPs in the Mission include
- Minister of Pacific Peoples, Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, Minister for Statistics, Minister for Universities, Hon Dr Shane Reti.
- CEO Ministry for Pacific People, Gerardine Clifford-Lidstone.
- Hon Jenny Salesa, Teanau Tuiono MP and Tim van de Molen MP.
The delegation will also include representatives of business, sports, government officials and media.
The delegation is expected to arrive on Tuesday 17 March, with a full- two day program, before departing on Wednesday,18 March 2026.
