Tonga will observe a one-off government public holiday on Thursday, 12 March 2026, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Queen Salote College (QSC).

This declaration approved by the Cabinet on Friday, acknowledges the national significance of this historic milestone for the Kingdom of Tonga.

The centenary celebration was set to coincide with the birthday of the late Queen Sālote Tupou III, on 13 March.
